Ao t\u00e9rmino do ciclo, a superf\u00edcie do substrato \u00e9 convertida em uma camada de magnetita (Fe\u2083O\u2084), de colora\u00e7\u00e3o negra e elevada ader\u00eancia.<\/p><p>Por se tratar de um processo de convers\u00e3o qu\u00edmica da superf\u00edcie, e n\u00e3o de deposi\u00e7\u00e3o, n\u00e3o h\u00e1 altera\u00e7\u00e3o dimensional das pe\u00e7as tratadas, nem risco de delamina\u00e7\u00e3o ou descascamento da camada formada. Quando associado a \u00f3leos protetivos desaguantes, tamb\u00e9m integrantes do sistema FERROBLACK\u00ae, obt\u00e9m-se um aumento significativo da resist\u00eancia \u00e0 corros\u00e3o em ambientes de pH neutro ou levemente alcalino, como em aplica\u00e7\u00f5es sujeitas ao contato com \u00f3leos de sistemas de transmiss\u00e3o.<\/p><p>Adicionalmente, a camada de convers\u00e3o contribui para mitigar mecanismos de desgaste adesivo em componentes com movimentos de deslizamento ou rolamento. Em particular, seu uso \u00e9 recomendado para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es que demandam melhoria do comportamento de running-in, redu\u00e7\u00e3o de micropitting, maior resist\u00eancia \u00e0
